DOOM
The movie Doom is a must see for all first person shooter fans, psyops fans or half life fans, you will be thrilled. The story takes place in the near future, a group of archeaologists are researching on mars where they believe was previous life.
The movie starts with a tragic massacre and a strike team is called in to save all research data and investegate. The rock is the sargeant of the team, how cool is that? The team comprises of two black people, i think that is a great improvement, though they were minor characters.. and then the other obvious outcome which i am too unhappy to mention. All team members of The rocks group have some story whether freaky (and some are really freaky) or not.
So they are transported to mars in a pretty unusual way, viewers will find this part quite mind-bending cuz its so damn hard to explain! Anyway the team finds out there is more that is being done on mars than just digging, experiments on humans are taking place. The primary protagonists a brother and sister survive through the entire ordeal and the movie makers choose to base the substancial, emotion part of the movie around them, the rock is pure carnage... sort of like rambo... favourite quote "Big F@#$ing Gun".
The movie never ceases to entertain as there is a special exciting surprise for fps gamers. In the end it was down to one great fight and i wont say much about it but ill say this: the fps gamers had their fun and so did the rock (and wrestlers). Finally, if you're looking for a movie with meaningless carnage and a below average plot with explanation...(sounds alot like the game, doesnt it?) Doom is your movie. See it as soon as you can!!

Doom left me quite disappointed honestly. I grew up on that game, and they completely strayed from the story line and they spent entirely too much time on builing relationships with the characters. The first person camera angles were where the movie finally felt like it was picking up, then it was over.
As far as your FPS-fandom goes, are you huge on Doom (1-3)?
no, i have doom 3 for the longest time but i have not played it. when doom used to run the place i used to play it day and night, over and over. thanks for commenting, really appreciate it. i originally watched it for the rock and some first person action, with that expectation in mind, i was not dissapointed :D
Tho im not huge on doom 3, fps games are my thing
